Donation of AEDs -
Saccarappa Lodge, at the February  Stated Meeting, voted to dontate $6000 to the Westbrook School Department for the purchase of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). This dontation has allowed the school department to purchase 4 of these life saving units. We will be presenting the units to the School Department on March 28th at 7pm in room 114 of Westbrook High School. Please come join us in presenting this wonderful donation to the School Department. Sea Dogs Sponsership -
At the March Stated Meeting, Saccarappa Lodge voted to become Offical Sponsers of the Portland Sea Dogs. The Sea Dogs are the defending Eastern League Champions and the Double-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. With this sponsership we get a 1/4 page ad in their program. This program is sold at every home game and for everyone program purchased 4 people read it.  This will hopefully be a great way for the Lodge to get more involved in the community and draw more members! Donation to Fuel Program -

Saccarappa Lodge has earmarked $5000 to donate to the City of Westbrook. The city is in the process of creating a fuel assistance program for those in need in Westbrook. Our earmarked money will go to this program to be distributed to those in need of fuel assistance.

 

Partnership with School Department -

Saccarappa Lodge has formed a partnership with the Westbrook School Department. This partnership will give the schools a contact point when they have students that are in need of clothing and basic school supplies. We will also look into other requests from the schools about students in need (i.e. medical expenses).

 

Westbrook Together Days -

Saccarappa Lodge will be taking part again this year in Westbrook Together Days. We will be starting the planing for this very soon and hopefully have the CHIPs Program involved as well.
